NSI staff

NSI provides a full range of skilled home health services throughout central Connecticut and the Connecticut River Valley. Our affiliate, NSI/Elderforce, Inc. provides companion/homemaking services, private duty nursing and temporary health care personnel to area health care facilities.

Together our companies offer a comprehensive array of health care services to individuals and other health care providers throughout Connecticut.

How did we get to where we are today? Please read on.

Linda Tucker, a Registered Nurse, spent the 1980’s building a temporary- nursing agency called Nursing Services Inc. Her agency was part of a larger company that managed and developed nursing

homes. The parent company faced deep cut backs in 1989. The owner approached Mrs. Tucker one day and informed her that he was folding the operation. “It was my life for 10 years. I started it from scratch. I didn’t want it to go down the tubes, and I had six people working under me that would have lost their jobs,” said Mrs. Tucker.

Within three weeks, Linda and Lawrence Tucker bought Nursing Services, Inc. And the rest is history.
